Tom Petty’s A Face in the Crowd has always been one of those songs for me.

It’s about one of life’s beautiful mysteries: how someone who was once just another face among thousands can suddenly become the centre of your world.

That idea has always fascinated me because life really works that way.

Sometimes we spend years looking for something special… and then, completely unexpectedly, we meet someone who changes everything.

I often perform this song early in my concerts. It’s one of those songs that helps me settle into the evening. While I’m singing, I can look around the room, watch the audience, and feel the atmosphere begin to grow.

Every concert starts with strangers. Sometimes, by the end of the evening, they no longer feel like strangers.

That’s one of the gifts music gives us. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this wonderful Tom Petty song.
